Can I book as an individual?

The Big Ride adventures are open to everyone, including single riders. Depending on availability, we can offer single rooms or a shared room. The collective courses are based on groups of minimum 4 people, if we cannot fill a group we will adapt the price of the course.

How can I prepare myself for the trip?

Verbier is located at approx. 1.500 m above sea level and so you might need to adjust to the altitude at first. Make sure you drink lots of water to stay well hydrated, and for some of our adventures a good level of fitness is required. Before your arrival we will send you a packing list. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions.

Is it possible to extend my stay?

Our packages are designed as examples of adventure trips in Verbier. We can tailor-make a trip to meet your exact requirements as needed, together we will create your perfect trip!

What is the client to guide ratio in a collective lesson?

The maximum number of participants in a collective course is 6 people, unless otherwise specified.

How are the collective courses structured?

Our courses are designed to be flexible and to work around you. We will create groups according to client’s levels and requirements. If you don’t think a collective course is for you, then there is always the option to book a private course.

Who are the guides/coaches?

The Big Ride only works with professional partner companies who are qualified, experienced and who have been tested on the quality of their services.

What if I hurt myself? Am I insured through The Big Ride?

Health and accident insurance cover is the client’s own responsibility. The Big Ride cannot provide insurance cover to guests.

How difficult are the trails?

The surroundings of Verbier offer routes for every level of fitness and technique, whether we are talking about downhill trails, enduro excursions or e-bike adventures. Our guides will match the desires and abilities of our guests with the most appropriate trails and tours. Tell us a little bit more about what you are looking for and no matter your skill level, we will be able to find the perfect route for you.

What is the Carte de Loisirs (bike and hiking passes)?

Téléverbier offers a ‘Carte de Loisirs’ to tourists staying in hotels in Verbier. By paying your tourist tax (CHF 4.- per night) you will automatically receive a ‘Carte de Loisirs’, which allows you to access the Verbier lift system as a pedestrian (hiking pass) over the summer and autumn period.
Additionally, you can buy a daily bike pass in order to access the lift system for biking activities.
